In my early days of Auctioneering I was hired by an attorney from Lake City Florida. Well I met with him at his office and got the contract signed. While I was leaving to head out to the farm he asked me if I had brought a helmet with me? When I drove up to the farm house it sounded like world war three - Three Red headed sisters in full battle over estate items. As I knocked on the kitchen door, I heard a loud smash, so I pulled open the door and walked right in.

My first action was to catch a Waterford crystal punch bowl in mid-flight. "Al right " I yelled , that's a $500 punch bowl = who's auction ticket do I charge it to? WHAT? I heard the three sister yell. Then I took a quick look at the Lamouge Serving plate's the were broken on the floor along with clumps of Red Hair. One sister started off that she wanted her mothers bedroom Dressing Vanity as did the other two sisters. My response brought silence as I told them out right

" I have an Auction Contract for all contents of this property, 30% of every thing here is mine !"

"If you want it you will have to come to the Auction and bid to buy it"

Well we sure work hard for that sale to come together. At the day of the Auction the Three Red Headed sisters stood side by side , the one in the middle held a calculator. When the Vanity came up for bid They Quit at $105 = top bid was $575 . The sisters left the Auction as a family.
